This hybrid inverter from Solaredge continues to work with the proven SolarEdge optimiser, so that shadow shifts are no problem for the system. This StorEdge inverter also works with the familiar Setapp, so that commissioning is very clear and the monitoring per panel, as well as the battery and self-consumption data, can be monitored in a clearly organised app. Thanks to the DC-coupled system, as little energy as possible is lost when converting direct current to alternating current.
You can connect up to 10,800 watt-peak to this inverter, but bear in mind that it will never generate more than 8,000 watts of alternating current.
The battery that can be connected to this inverter has a maximum DC output of 8,000 watts, a voltage range of 40 to 62 volts and a maximum continuous input current of 130 amps. Communication with the battery system takes place via the CAN protocol. The LG Chem RESU 6.5 low-voltage battery is a suitable battery for this inverter.
The factory is located in Israel and offers a 12-year warranty. The StorEdge 8.0 kW hybrid inverter can be connected to the Internet via an Ethernet cable as standard. The Wi-Fi connection can be established via a Solaredge antenna. With a connection to the Solaredge monitoring portal, you are always informed about the status of your solar system.
Solaredge also excels when it comes to safety measures. If something goes wrong, the inverter resets all optimisers to 1 volt and thus creates a safe working voltage. It is also possible, for example, to set the inverter so that it recognises arcs and prevents them from occurring.
ATTENTION: This inverter is not suitable for off-grid applications. The moment the mains voltage is interrupted, the inverter switches off. However, it is possible not to connect a battery to the inverter for a while and to initially supply it with solar cells and mains power only.
