The Solaredge energy meter graphs 24/7 how much power is being consumed, how much power is being demanded from the grid, and how much power is being generated by the solar panels. This data can be accessed continuously via the Solaredge Montoring App, or via Solaredge’s monitoring portal . Learn more about consumption patterns and thereby reduce your energy consumption. Solaredge Smart Home
That increasing direct self-consumption can also be done automatically. Combine the Solardge ModBus meter with Smart energy applications, such as a Solaredge Smart Energy Socket, Switch or hot water control. The devices you connect to these modules communicate with the inverter via zigbee. So you can have them turn on automatically when power is about to be fed back.
Limiting power
It is also possible to use Solaredge’s energy meter to limit the power of the inverter. For example, if you want to switch from a 1-phase grid connection to a 3-phase grid connection. Then the existing inverter can be limited to 3680 watts.
Export limitation – Solaredge energy meter
Finally, the Solaredge energy meter can be used to limit the export of energy to the grid. Do you have continuous relatively high consumption? Then you can connect more inverter power than your main fuse can handle. To be on the safe side, install an extra circuit breaker that trips before the main fuse does.
