The Growatt MOD 8000 TL3-XH BP 3-phase inverter offers a powerful and efficient hybrid solar panel system on private homes. Its excellent value for money makes this inverter a smart choice for anyone who values sustainability and energy efficiency.
2 MPP Trackers for Optimal Performance
The Growatt MOD 8000 TL3-XH BP has two MPP trackers, allowing you to connect two separate ‘strings’ of solar panels without shade on one string affecting the performance of the other. This is ideal for roofs where shading occurs at different times of the day. You can connect up to 2 strings of at least 160 volts per string, with a combined peak power of up to 16000 watts. At maximum output from the solar panels, if a battery is connected, the inverter can supply up to 8000 watts to the grid and send 8000 watts to the battery at the same time. This functionality is called the Dual Power Function.
Silent and Efficient Cooling
Thanks to natural convection cooling, the inverter operates without fans, making the system quiet. Moreover, the inverter is transformerless, which minimises energy losses and increases efficiency. Standby consumption is about 5.5 watts per hour.
Hybrid functionality
This hybrid inverter can be connected to a home battery, the APX battery system. There are different versions of the MOD-XH in circulation the current type works icm with the APX batteries if you have bought your inverter before it is good to check if this is the case.
Importance of a Growatt Smart Meter
A Growatt Smart meter 3-phase is essential for efficient battery control. This energy meter measures the total incoming and outgoing energy of your home and communicates with the inverter via a data cable. This optimises charging and discharging processes and can reduce exports to the grid.
Standalone battery inverter
The Growatt MOD 8000 TL3-XH BP can also function as a standalone battery inverter without solar panels. Monitoring solar energy from another inverter requires an additional Growatt smart meter.
Setting energy priorities
You can set different priorities for energy distribution:
- Load first: The generated solar power goes to the household appliances first, then to the battery and the surplus to the grid.
- Battery first: The battery is charged first, then the household appliances are powered and the remaining surplus goes to the grid.
- Grid first: All generated power is fed directly into the grid.
Monitoring and guarantee
Growatt offers its own monitoring platform. Order a monitoring module such as the Wifi-X, LAN-X or Shinelink-X dongle to connect your inverter to the internet and view your energy yield remotely.
Growatt provides a standard 10-year warranty on the MOD 8000 TL3-XH BP 3-phase inverter.
ATTENTION: Emergency power function
The TL3-XH BP inverters do not have an emergency power function as standard. With the Growatt backup box MOD XH-BP, this function can be added. Do you want an inverter that provides instant emergency power in case of power failure? Then consider the SPH8000TL3 BH from Growatt!
