The inverter features 2 MPP trackers, meaning you can connect two separate ‘strings’ connected in series. This is particularly useful in situations where shading occurs, for example if the lower part of your roof receives sunlight later in the day than the upper part. Thanks to this technology, the two strings operate independently of ps other, optimising the efficiency of your solar power system. You can connect to the Growatt inverter two strings with a minimum voltage of 100V, with a combined maximum of 5000Wp.

One of the most important features of the Growatt MIN 2500TL-XH is the Dual Power Function. This function enables the inverter, when the solar panels are producing at maximum output and a battery is connected, to supply up to 2500W to the grid and send 2500W to the battery at the same time. This ensures optimal utilisation of the solar energy generated.

The inverter uses natural convection cooling, eliminating the need for fans. This results in quiet operation and increases the durability of the system. Moreover, the Growatt 2500TL-XH is transformerless, which minimises energy losses and maximises efficiency.

Ready for the Future: Hybrid Functionality

The hybrid functionality of this inverter makes it possible to connect a home battery. The most compatible battery is the Growatt ARK High Voltage Set for XH, with capacities ranging from 5.12 kWh to 25.6 kWh. There is also potential for future compatibility with the APX battery system once a dedicated BMS becomes available and the inverter software is updated.

Required Accessories for Optimal Performance

To control the battery efficiently, a Growatt Smart Meter (1-phase or 3-phase) is required. This smart meter is installed at the beginning of your meter box and measures both incoming and outgoing energy from your entire house. The meter is connected to the inverter via a data cable, allowing the inverter to know when to charge or discharge the battery. The smart meter also allows you to limit the export of excess energy to the grid, which is useful for larger inverter capacities.

Back-up Function for Emergency Power Supply

For those looking for extra security, the Growatt backup box for MIN XH inverters is available, which provides emergency power during power outages. Although the switching time is slightly longer than with the Growatt SPH3000, this system provides a reliable solution to keep lights and other essential appliances operational. Note that due to the transformerless operation, it is not recommended to connect appliances with an electric motor, such as refrigerators or washing machines, to the emergency supply.

Flexible Mode Settings

The Growatt MIN 2500TL-XH offers several configurable priorities for the distribution of generated energy:

• Load First: Generated power is used first for home consumers, then the battery is charged, and any remaining power is supplied to the grid.
• Battery First: The battery is charged first, then power is used for domestic consumers, and any surplus is fed back to the grid.
• Grid First: All generated power is fed directly back into the grid.
