Basically, Growatt MIN XH inverters (single-phase) cannot generate emergency power when the grid voltage is lost. However, combine this inverter with the Growatt Backup Box and get rid of this limitation. The Backup Box enables your inverter to produce emergency power, and ensures that no power is fed back into the grid, preventing potentially dangerous situations.

The Growatt Backup Boxis not only a technological marvel, but also a compact and handy device that fits perfectly into your energy storage system. Measuring 260 mm wide, 223 mm high and 82 mm deep, it takes up minimal space. Despite its powerful performance, the Backup Box is surprisingly lightweight, weighing just 2 kg. With a rated voltage of 230V and a maximum current of 27.2A, you are assured of powerful and reliable operation. The switching time of the Backup Box is lightning fast, with an impressive speed of less than 2 seconds. This means you can benefit from emergency power almost immediately in case of power failure. Note that for computers and servers, 2 seconds is often too long.

In bypass mode, this backup box can deliver a maximum of 26 amps to the loads. If your loads consume more, this can cause irreparable damage to the backup box! If the mains voltage is lost, this is limited by the capacity of your inverter, the battery and how much solar power you are generating at that time. So you often cannot connect the whole house to the backup box. In that case, choose to connect certain groups to the backup box and not certain groups, which are less important to keep running during a power failure.

With a protection rating of IP65, the Backup Box is resistant to dust and water, allowing it to be used both indoors and outdoors. Moreover, its RS485 communication interface offers seamless integration with other systems and devices.
