This is the Growatt Thor EV (Electric Vehicle) Charger and it is a new development from Growatt to power the electric cars.
The charging station allows the PV system and the grid to charge the electric car as effectively as possible.

The charging station must be connected to the internet with a LAN cable. In addition, the charging station must be provided with readings from the Growatt smart meter. This must also be wired. So always lay a LAN cable and the RS485 cable for the smart meter to the charging station as well!

NOTE: socket version is without charging cable. The wired version has a 5m long charging cable.

A charging station with a socket has no cable at the charging station and you therefore have to use your own charging cable to charge with the charging station

Do you want to be able to charge your electric car as green as possible? Then this charging station is a very nice solution. It has a sleek design and is fully equipped. The charging station is smart so it has load balancing so you will never overload the grid!

It is available in several variants so there is a suitable solution for all situations! In this case, it is the single-phase, 7.4 kw version. With this charging station, you can therefore charge up to 7.4kw and thus combine your grid with solar power. You can of course limit it at 3.6kw. You place the charge post in combination with Growatt’s energy meter so you can charge as green as possible.

The charging station is IP65 so can of course be nicely mounted on the facade. Or on Growatt’s charging station itself!
