2 MPP Trackers for optimal performance

The Growatt MOD 4000 TL3-XH BP features two MPP trackers, which means you can connect two separate ‘strings’ of solar panels without the shadow on one string affecting the performance of the other. This is useful for roofs where parts of the day are shadowed by some of the solar panels. You can connect up to 2 strings of at least 160 volts per string, with a combined peak power of up to 8000 watts. When the solar panels are operating at their maximum capacity, the inverter, if connected to a battery, can supply up to 4000 watts to the grid and send 4000 watts to the battery at the same time. This functionality is known as the Dual Power Function.

Silent and Efficient Cooling

Thanks to natural convection cooling, the inverter operates without fans, making the system quiet. Moreover, the inverter is transformerless, which minimises energy losses and increases efficiency. Standby consumption is about 5.5 watts per hour.

Hybrid functionality

This hybrid inverter is compatible with a home battery, such as the APX battery system. Although the basic configuration does not work with the Growatt ARK High voltage set for XH by default, certain modifications and software updates can make this possible. Importance of a Growatt Smart Meter

Using a Growatt Smart meter 3-phase is essential for efficient battery control. This energy meter is installed at the beginning of your meter box and measures the total incoming and outgoing energy of your home. The meter communicates with the inverter via a data cable to optimise the charging and discharging processes. In addition, the energy meter offers the possibility to limit exports to the grid.

Standalone battery inverter

The Growatt MOD 4000 TL3-XH BP can also function as a standalone battery inverter, without connected solar panels. To monitor solar energy from another inverter, an additional Growatt smart meter is required.

Setting energy priorities

You can set different priorities for energy distribution:

1. Load first: Preferred mode where the generated solar power goes to the household appliances first, then to the battery and the surplus to the grid.
2. Battery first: The battery is charged first, then the household appliances are powered and the remaining surplus goes to the grid.
3. Grid first: All generated power is fed directly into the grid.

Monitoring and guarantee

For monitoring, Growatt offers its own platform. Order a monitoring module such as the Wifi-X, LAN-X or Shinelink-X dongle to connect your inverter to the internet and view your energy yield remotely.

ATTENTION: Emergency power function
