The new Enphase IQ7A microinverter is fully equipped for a smart grid. The IQ7A therefore meets the requirements of complex power grids with regard to voltage management and frequency decoupling. The Enphase IQ7A can be remotely updated through the Envoy S to meet the requirements of grid developments.
In addition, these new generation micro-inverters are even more robust and reliable than previous models. Installation becomes easier as the IQ7A’s cabling is much lighter and more flexible in use. Monitoring per panel is no problem at all with the Envoy S communication gateway
The Enphase IQ7A inverters are extra fire-safe because they transport much lower voltages, and are equipped with a rapid shutdown system via the necessary Q relay.
The Enphase IQ7A microinverter is suitable for 60 and 72 cell solar panels and has a maximum output current of 340 watts at peak times. You can connect between 295 and 460 Watt peak to it without any problems, but then the number of generated watts above 340 will be capped.
Note! A maximum of a 16 amp group may be placed on a 25 amp grid connection (1/3 selectivity). These micro-inverters produce 1.52 amps ps. A maximum of 10 solar panels may therefore be placed on the 16 amp group. For a slightly larger system, two cables must be drawn to the meter box, ps with its own fuse. The maximum amperage that can be placed on a 40 ampere main fuse is 25 ampere, so that is about a maximum of 16 panels on this main fuse. If you have a 3×25 ampere mains connection, you can therefore connect a maximum of 3×16 is 48 solar panels, which is equivalent to an inverter power of 16320 watts.
If you make a string, make sure with your design that you prefer not to put more than 8 panels in a row one after the other, because of the monitoring that may then falter a bit. Rather make T-splits and more strings to minimise data flow.
Note! Warranty on these inverters only applies if an envoy and relay are connected to them!
